A PORTRAIT, A LEGAY TO TREASURE
Portrait Made From What You Hold Dear
I love working with collage, and I often incorporate it into my portraits.
If you would like, you can give me a few hints about things that are meaningful to you, and I can use them as inspiration for the collage.
Or, if you have something personal you would like to include, you can send me the actual piece or a photo of it. I can print it and incorporate it into the collage.
For example:
- a handwritten note or letter
- an old photograph
- a family recipe
- your child’s drawing
- handwriting
- cultural art, patterns or symbols
- a small piece of paper or other personal item
You don't need to have anything specific to include. You can simply let me interpret the collage based on what you tell me about the person.
The portrait can be of yourself, someone you love, or someone who is no longer here.
Size
Portrait commissions start at 40 × 50 cm, for one person and a relatively close-up portrait. Larger sizes are available, and I especially recommend them when you would like more personal elements incorporated into the collage.
How to commission
1. Send me a photo
Tell me who you would like me to paint and, if you wish, share anything you would like to inspire the artwork.
2. We discuss the portrait
We talk about your ideas, the size and the details of the commission.
3. I create your painting
I develop the portrait and incorporate personal elements into the collage based on what you have shared with me.
4. Your one-of-a-kind portrait is ready
A completely original artwork created especially for you.
